what causes a yeast infection in a two year old girl?

she was diagnosed with a severe infection. this is not my child. this is a child i used to babysit
nope she hasnr and shes not breastfed any longer
she wears luvs diapers and occasionallty huggies pull ups
thanks all. the mom is saying she got the infection at my house. she said the doctor said she got a bath in unsanitary conditions. my house is dis organized but not dirty

a yeast infection can be caused by sitting in a wet or dirty diapers also if she takes alot of bubble baths or if she gets into dirty water or a nasty bath tub if she plays outside and get dirt inside her diaper can cause it does the mom use baby wipes sometimes they can be allergic to the wipes and it can cause an infection if mom dont get her clean down there theres just so much that can cause a yeast infection has her mom took her to the docter if not she need to go also with my oldest daughter now 5 has to use baby powder to help keep her dry from sweat and so on

My neice use to get ear infections and the doctor would give her antibiotics which then gave her yeast infections.
Baby’s can get yeast infections from many things. The one thing that my doctor said was that if the mother has one and does not thoroughly wash her hands after going to the bathroom the baby could catch it when her diaper is changed.
I would think that she is not being washed properly.
for girls, big or small, alot of things can cause it. like tight clothing, or not cleansing your system (drink alot of cranberry juice) and even antibiotics can cause yeast infections, go figure something that fights one infection causes another.

poor baby, yeast infections can be very irritating and painfull, as any woman knows. a number of things could cause a toddler to get yeast infections. i get yeast infections very frequently and i passed that onto my daughter. my daugher was constanly getting thrush when she was an infant and had yeast infections as a toddler. some peoples body just produce more yeast than others. in order to keep it under control my daughter and i have to eat yogurt a couple times a week. if the little girl is being potty trained she should be wearing cotton panties and no tight clothing. you have to keep that area as cool as possible and well ventilated.

Certain diapers and powders can cause this type of infection in babies. When changing make sure you get all the old powder out of every little crevous and try telling the mom to use baby Gold Bond powder not to much. Place the powder on hand and wipe it on. This should help.
This type of infection is not from unsanitary conditions and if that is what the doctor told the mom find a new doctor. No matter a girls age yeast infections are made the same way. If mom gets them then baby will be prone to them as well.
My son had a yeast infection a few months ago. He is 2 also. His doctor said that the amoxillian he was on caused it. He was on amoxillian because of a severe sinus infection and double ear infection. So that could have been what caused it. Had she been sick before she got the yeast infection? It may be caused by other medications but I only know about the amoxillian because of my sons experience. Hope I helped!

Has she been taking or is she currently on antibotics?
It can be caused by many things. Not wiping her clean w/each wet diaper change, powders, bubble baths, not cleansing her system. Your house would have to be nasty to give her such a yeast infection. My niece used to get them, and she couldn’t take baths, just showers, and we had to let her run around diaperless to "air" out for about an hour a day.

Ever heard of oral thrush? That is a yeast infection in the mouth. Youg infants get that once in awhile. The infection descends in the digestive system and ends up in the urinary tract and bingo: yeast infection.

My ten month baby girl has now gotten an infection on Huggies diapers 3 and it all started with large and painful pimple like rash. We notice it went away once we switch out of huggies diapers the first time and with antibiotic medicine of course. It came back about 3-4 weeks later while we went back to huggies as we wanted to see if the brand was the cause. We want to think it was an allergic reaction to the brand, but it only happen with face 3 diapers as our child had been using Huggies from day one.
