My husband came down with a yeast infection in his mouth. I guess an adult version of thrush. He went to the doctor and was given some medicine. I was a little suspicious he was cheating on me since I don’t have a yeast infection. He swears he didn’t cheat on me. It went away but it came back. They did blood work to see if he had some strange infections but it came back normal. Now its back again. The doctor now says it is caused from snoring and wants to send him to get a sleep study.

Has anyone else experienced this? We’ve been dealing with this yeast infection for almost a year now.
OK the antibiotics thing makes sense. This all started after my husband had a terrible cut on his hand and had to have surgery. He was on alot of antibiotics. Ever since, he has had all these yeast infections. They are very bad. Once his entire tongue turned black.
he has no dentures, but his teeth are not in the best shape. Plus he smokes if that means anything.

okay I dont know why I keep getting yeast infections. I have gone to my doctor and he has confirmed thats what I keep getting, he gave me this pill that is to keep the yeast under control. well it worked for a year and now it is coming back! I have a very foul odor like an onionish smell and very thick white discharge that looks like the cottage cheese for a yeast infection, but then on the very tops of my vagina lips I get this tiny little cut from the top straight down to almost the top of my clitoris that hurts and wont go away and I notice it only semi starts to go away when I shave the hair off of that area. I do clean down there very well! I have Vagisil to keep the ithcing under control. have wipes for that time of month and anytime I feel it needs to be cleaned down there from sweating or anything else. I am a little overweight and am trying to loose weight because I think part of it, is my big thighs always making it a bit sweaty down there. I just read that some tips of sugars may be part of why the yeast gets out of control. But I dont drink soda or eat that many sweets as I am trying to loose weight. I mainly drink water and some organic juices. what can I do to make it go away and help get relief!?! dont say over the counter medicines because I have done the yeast infection things, last about a week of relief then back and I also to AZO Yeast pills that I stopped for a little bit that seemed to help but never cure. any suggestions? thanks!

I am on birth control right now. but I started having these problems at 15 years old. and I didnt have sex till 19 because my mother thought you could only get it from having sex. I dont have any tight clothing and my panties are breathable as tight clothing was a suggestion for it being present.
I have had my blood tested for everything, the only thing they came up with was a little too high cholestral
I had it bad before the birth control pills though. so it cant be those.
only have a shower, so I dont lay down in a tub.

wow I might really do that diet and try the Azo pills still with cranberry pills. all the matter of remembering to take them. still if anyone else still has any ideas please add them!

this is for my daughter shes 20 months old and has a yeast infection. i change her as frequently as possible. i dont have insurance for her right now is there anything i can do at home to help it? i know its some thing medical and should be looked at by a doc, but again no insurance for her right now.

soo i have a yeast infection, its pretty obvious but i dont want to go to the doctor. is there any way to just call up or go there and ask for slip to get diflucan? or do you have to be checked first? if i cant obtain diflucan this way without being checked, whats the best over the counter TREATMENT (not reliever) for yeast infections? do you suggest 1,3, or 7 day ones? i would love to do the 1 day one but is it effective?

I read that oral contraceptives make women more vulnerable to getting yeast infections. I took the morning after pill a week ago (which is a high dose of oral contraceptive) the first time ever. Now I have my first yeast infection (or at least that’s what I think it is). (IT’S NOT AN STD. My BF is clean of that.) So could the morning after pill be causing my yeast infection?

I’m treating myself for a yeast infection with Monistat.
Tonight will be my third night in a row using the pre-filled creme suppositories.

The symptoms are going away, there is not burning and almost no itching or irritation. EXCEPT for when I put in the creme at night. For some reason it starts to itch — like in the walls of my vagina — everywhere the creme is touching.

QUESTION: Is the yeast infection treatment (Monistat creme) in this case supposed to make it itch? Is that like a side effect?
And is it okay to buy 2 boxes of the 3-Day Monistat treatment and use it for like 4 or 5 days if i’m still having symptoms after the first 3 day pack is finished? (In other words is it okay to use more than one box of treatment?) Because I’m not sure that the yeast infections is 100% gone.

The itch and very slight burn starts at the base/ opening of my vagina and runs all the way up (to what feels like) behind my navel.

It’s not an intense itching, but definitely noticeable and extremely uncomfortable.

AGAIN: Is this normal? What should I do?

8 year old female; no immuno-compromising issues; healthy, active, though she does have a tendency toward sensory processing issues, and because of it can have serious, irrational melt-downs. Lately, the yeast infections have flared up, and so has the sensory processing issues/behavior. I recently had a yeast infection that I took care of using Monistat 3. Or, at least, I lost 99% of the symptoms after I’d finished it. A couple days later, I developed slight itching and the creamy, not really wet discharge that kind of builds up on either side of my clitoris over every few hours. Not an overwhelming amount, but enough that if I were to swipe my finger, it would cover the tip of it up to where my nail comes out of my skin. It doesn’t really smell like anything in particular, but it’s whitish.

It’s around the time I usually get my menstrual cycle, and I’m having slight cramps. I’ve been pretty tired all the time. I’ve heard of early-pregnancy-related yeast infections so I decided to take a pregancy test, but when I wiped after taking it, there was blood. Not a lot, and very diluted, but I figured I was starting and I put a tampon in. For some reason it didn’t fit the right way and I had to take it out in a matter of minutes, but the blood on it was light brown.

Is this just a coincidence, or is it a warning of something bigger?
Although I’m sure the immature people on here will comment otherwise, yes, I do shower regularly.

I don’t douche, and I’m not on any birth control.

Within the last couple of days I’ve been without my sleeping meds, if that has anything to do with it. The other night I only had half a dose and last night I wasn’t able to have any.

We took our dog to the vet last week to find out she has a yeast infection. It smells so bad it is almost untolerable. (the smell seems to be mostly coming from her mouth but her years and anus/vagina smell bad too. The vet didnt prescribe her anything but said she needed to loose weight (Is this a load of crap? A couple days ago I started to develop symptoms of a yeast infection (itching, burning, discomfort, etc.). It progressively got worse so I got that cream stuff for it. I’ve been using it for two days now and the infection has only gotten worse. My outer labia is swollen to about three times its original size and I’ve developed this weird, itchy rash extending from my labia to the insides of my legs and above my clitoris (across the whole top..where you shave or whatever). But through all these symptoms, I don’t have any discharge and the itching seems to be only on my vulva, instead of inside my vagina. I’ve never had anything like this before. Previous yeast infections always started going away soon after applying the cream. Has anyone had this similar problem? Do you know what it might be? Please help.

I just recently got over a bad yeast infection. Yesterday was actually the first day I finally started feeling better. I tried having sex yesterday night with my boyfriend for the first time in about a week and a half and we couldn’t do it because he couldn’t even fit inside me. It was like nothing was giving or my vagina was extremely inflamed/swollen. This has never happened to me before. I noticed that she is scratching the ear again and the smell is from a yeast infection. She had one several years ago. She also has cancer and is incontinent. I will be calling the vet today and hopefully they will not ask me to bring her in as she has a hard time getting into the car without assistance. Shes a GH mix.
What med have worked best on your dog’s yeast infections and have any of you had luck with naturals remedies. I ask this because she is on medicine and really don’t want to add more. She’s and old girl of 13 and don’t wish to put her through anymore trauma. I even wondered if over the counter yeast medicine for vaginal yeast infection for women would work. To those who say I am irresponsible, better read this again. By the way, her cancer diagnosis and meds were over 00, pill foe incontinence are over a month. Her diapers are per month. She leads a good life. I feed her dog food mixed with boiled chicken so it is easier on her stomach and she likes it. So I would not say that I am cheap. I am trying to give her a quality life until the time comes which I am not looking forward to. She is a loving dog and a member of the family. Just want the least amount of trauma for her. 3 days ago i got my wisdom teeth removed and started my antibiotics.. however like the next day i started getting white vaginal discharge which is most likely a yeast infection for the most part, and i know that sometimes while on antibiotics, it can cause yeast infections because they kill off the good bacteria in your vagina. I am tired of OTC products, and at this point I am willing to try anything. I am having a recurring problem with yeast infections. They go away and come back. I dont even want to have intercourse. No more difuclan, no more creams, nothing works or helps me. I am currently eating 1-2 cups of yogurt a day right now, and that only helps with the discomfort of my vagina. It doesnt take the infection away. I am thinking about inserting the yogurt. I am fighting a losing battle with this thing. I so tired of it. I feel like it has taken over my life. Yes, there are more things much more serious but it is very uncomfortable and annoying. Any help. I appreciate all answers but, are there any women out there who has had battles with this? Thanks

Unfortunately, I am one of those 5% of people that get re-occurring yeast infections. My best cure found thus far has been 100% Aloe (natural enemy of the Candida yeast).
