i was treated for b. vaginosis. now i’m being treated for yeast infection, 7-day treatment, miconazole nitrate 2% to be taken as a cream suppository…
has anyone had any experience with this? the doctor said it iss safe, so i don’t think its really hurting the baby…but it is kind of hurting me?
after i put it in i go to sleep, when i wake up to go pee in the middle of the night it hurts to go. its possible that it is not because of the cream that it hurts…maybe i have some sort of UTI? but it doesn’t hurt any other time, and every time after the first pee gets a little less painful.

plus, they’ve sent my pee out to the lab multiple times and it hasn’t come back that i have any kind of UTI or kidney infection, as far as i know. should i just tough it out, or is the pain not normal?

So I’m on amoxicillin right now for an infection in my wisdom tooth. I expected a yeast infection just because my body hates me and I almost always get them when I’m on antibiotics, but I still have about 7 days of taking the medicine.

My question is, should I start treating the yeast infection now or should I wait until I’m done?

I had a yeast infection but it went away on its own, but I still felt something could still be going on because my urine is very yellowish and I have frequent discharge, with painful sex. I went to the doctor and after a test he said i had a bacteria infection and he put me on metronidazole.
Now am confused because I took flagil last month for my colitis even though I had the yeast infection then, but the doctor gave me a cream that never worked.
could it be the right treatment?

Alright, so I’m 17 and like… 99.9 sure I have a yeast infection, I have every single symptom associated with it. I’m planning on getting Monistat 7, the cream, to treat it. Does the cream actually work? Or should I get the suppositories (I heard they can cause some painful side effects though). What would you recommend for the best cure?

My boyfriend was using a vibrator on me for a long time a couple nights ago and the next morning I noticed that my clitoris was feeling really sensitive. Today we used it again but avoided contact between the vibrator and my clitoris but my clitoris has felt really itchy since then. Problem:
I’ve been having this irregular thick discharge down there that is different than my normal. It is white with a slight tint of yellow, it is very very thick but not like cottage cheese, more like vaseline but more opaque. There is no foul odor, no fishy smell, and I don’t feel itchy down there or feel burning when I urinate. Overall I feel pretty normal down there except for the discharge.
I used the Vagisil screening kit and it says I have a normal vaginal pH.

Question:
1. Do you think it’s yeast infection? I don’t have health insurance so I can’t go to an ob/gyn. Should I just go ahead and try to clear it up with Monistat?

2. I read somewhere on the net that when a woman is pregnant, she gets some thick white discharge too, is that true? I had unprotected sex with my husband about 2 weeks ago (using the pull-out method), my period is supposed to start in a few days from now, do you think the thick discharge that I’m having is caused by pregnancy?

I am a virgin and my boyfriend and I have done oral sex, but not intercourse. He has never been with anyone while I have had one other partner more than two years ago.

Okay so this past summer around August I had a yeast infection…or at least I think it was because there was the curdy whiteish grey discharge and the extreme itching…and sometimes after my periods it still gets itchy. When I put cream on it it helps.

Often I shave down there on the labia around my vaginal opening and a couple days ago I noticed a couple very small reddish bumps there. They didn’t really bother me, but had a sort of whiteish filling in them. I shaved maybe a week ago before this happened so do you think they are ingrown hairs and irritated skin? This really gets irritated after periods a lot too, but not all the time and is always very mild.

Then I looked on a lot of websites because I was freaking out about herpes!!! A lot of the pictures I saw very very extreme and didn’t look anything like what I have and mine have never popped and crusted over like they says herpes bumps do. What should I do??? HELP!!!

i got the 3 day insert treatment today and i noticed it says you shouldn’t have vaginal intercourse while using it. i was going to start it tonight but the only problem is that my anniversary is thursday and i don’t want to not be able to have sex that day being that i have a big sexual surprise for him. and we’re pretty sure he already has a yeast infection so if i wait it won’t matter as far as giving him one. also, if i have it in there and have sex with him will it help his yeast infection? or should i just wait until after thursday?
the yeast infection truly isn’t that bad. it’s not like a severe one.

okay..this is my problem…background info: I recently had a yeast infection and did a home treatment…i do not think that it went completely away however. The itching went away but I still have a very slight odor, and white discharge. I have a gyno appointment scheduled two weeks from now..so i did not want to do anymore home treatments. I have only had one sexual partner and that is my current boyfriend. Hello. I was recently treated for yeast infection a week ago. My symptoms have gone away and I feel completely normal, however, when I have intercourse with my boyfriend my vagina has a sore feeling to it..It feels sore during penetration and sometimes the soreness will go away during intercourse. Has anyone else experienced this after being treated for yeast infection? Could it be the infection hasn’t completely cleared?
And I am did Rx for fluconazole when I was treated.

Ok I’m so sorry I know this is like a NOVEL, but PLEASE read this it’s so important and I’m pretty much severely depressed.

I’ve been having so many "womanly" problems lately and now I’m scared I might have HERPES please hear me out…. and only serious answers please! Ok,so a little over a month ago I took a spinning class for the first time… after the class I felt very sore and iritated in my vaginal region… but I thought nothing of it… just a little discomfort from the seat, and the fact that I wasn’t used to it. Then I started to experience itching… and a few days later a thick white discharge. I’ve had a yeast infection before… so I assumed that’s what it was. Coincidentally I had a doctor’s appointment a few days later for something completely unrelated, so I decided to wait until my appointment to treat the suspected yeast infection. When I got there she tried to do a pelvic exam and gather a sample…. but I had a lot of pain and pressure when she inserted the speculum and I was tense, so she could not collect a sample. I figured it’s because I’m a virgin… and that’s why I had the pain. Since she couldnt collect a sample she asked if I just wanted to treat it as though it were a yeast infection, I said yes and she gave me an option of prescription diflucan… or over the counter monistat,,,, I chose the diflucan… because who wants to deal with a messy cream. So I took the dilflucan pill… and you’re supposed to feel relief within 3-5 days…. NOTHING. It did not a thing. It was as though I hadnt taken anything…. so I called my doctor (GP)and explained…. and she said to make an appointment with a gynecolgist… so I called the gynecologist’s office but they were unable to see me for a couple of weeks and that ws way too long, because by this time my symptoms had gotten MUCH more severe (same symptoms… but just worsened). So i decided I couldnt wait to see the gynecologist and bought some Monistat 7. I took the Monistat 7… and after it was finished I noticed a DRAMATIC improve in the amount of discharge I was having…. i think the discharge I have now is just normal because it’s such a small amount. BUT the itching remained! At first I figured maybe it was just a little bit of the medication lingering in my body causing a bit of irritation…. but that was almost a week ago and the itching has not gotten worse! and theres burning. so I decided to check myself out down there to see if I could see anything visibly wrong… and now im FREAKING OUT. On my inner labia I have a cluster of bumps…. it’s mostly on the left side… but a few on the right side as well… they are not pus filled… and I know what ingrown hairs look like… and they are NOT ingrown hairs. I’m not sure how long they’ve been there because it’s not like I check myself out down there all the time….. but I figure they must have appeared recently or the doctor would have noticed it the first time i went in for a "yeast infection". So im totally paranoid and googling pictures of herpes and stuff… and Im not sure if it looks like that. The bumps are about the same size but they arent pus filled (at least not that i can tell… its not like I really got a close up look) The reason why I’m freaking out so much is because I had an incident about a year ago where I was intoxicated and molested…. I passed out, and if this is herpes it means I wasnt just molested…. I was raped. So PLEASE take this seriously and let me know of ANYTHING that you know of that can cause a cluster of reddish pink bumps, itching and burning. okay I dont know why I keep getting yeast infections. I have gone to my doctor and he has confirmed thats what I keep getting, he gave me this pill that is to keep the yeast under control. well it worked for a year and now it is coming back! I have a very foul odor like an onionish smell and very thick white discharge that looks like the cottage cheese for a yeast infection, but then on the very tops of my vagina lips I get this tiny little cut from the top straight down to almost the top of my clitoris that hurts and wont go away and I notice it only semi starts to go away when I shave the hair off of that area. I do clean down there very well! I have Vagisil to keep the ithcing under control. have wipes for that time of month and anytime I feel it needs to be cleaned down there from sweating or anything else. I am a little overweight and am trying to loose weight because I think part of it, is my big thighs always making it a bit sweaty down there. I just read that some tips of sugars may be part of why the yeast gets out of control. But I dont drink soda or eat that many sweets as I am trying to loose weight. I mainly drink water and some organic juices. what can I do to make it go away and help get relief!?! dont say over the counter medicines because I have done the yeast infection things, last about a week of relief then back and I also to AZO Yeast pills that I stopped for a little bit that seemed to help but never cure. any suggestions? thanks!

I am on birth control right now. but I started having these problems at 15 years old. and I didnt have sex till 19 because my mother thought you could only get it from having sex. I dont have any tight clothing and my panties are breathable as tight clothing was a suggestion for it being present.
I have had my blood tested for everything, the only thing they came up with was a little too high cholestral
I had it bad before the birth control pills though. so it cant be those.

well i took some difflucan–the oral pill–and my nurse says that discharge down there is probably just excess medicine.
