I woke up this morning feeling like I got hit by a car. (yes, I’ve been hit by a car before, I know what it feels like.) I discovered in the last few days that I have a male yeast infection, and after extensive research into it, trying to determine what questions I should ask my dr, I stumbled on Candida. I’ve stumbled across multiple websites all over the internets that say, buy my supplement to to rid yourself of Candida. For most people that have a disposable income, (which isn’t many in this recession) the cost of the product isn’t so prohibitive. However, I’m on a fixed income. Fixed income is the governments way of saying that we’re going to pay you less than poverty level income, and there’s nothing you can do about it.
Anyways, all of these sites have a list of Candida overgrowth symptoms, etc, and it would appear that I have all of them as they apply to males. It’s difficult for me to determine if this is just all some fad or hype on the internet, because it seems the best source of information is from those people that want to sell me some obscure fix.
I remember being capable of applying my mind to a problem and being able to work through it to the end of the problem. Over the last 2 years, my mind has become quite a foggy mess, and I find it difficult to remain on task, because I forget what I was thinking about.
As there are many differences as to what the ‘best’ is, I decided to clarify what I think would be good for me as far as best.
I need a diet that is easy to follow, and is affordable on my income. I spend between -0 a month on food. I haven’t done much shopping yet for the month, but I estimate to have around remaining for the month.
I won’t buy any ’special – specific anti candida treatments’. I cannot afford to waste that money, and money back guarantees are frustrating. (odds are I’ll forget anyways.)
Since I’m often erratic in my means and methods, I intend to stock my food stores up with things that aim to be anti-candida, so no matter what I manage to grab to feed myself, will be along the lines of my end goal. (anti – candida snack foods)
I’ve taken the first step toward this goal, and I have resigned to drinking my iced tea without any sugar in it. I read somewhere that I should avoid tea for an anti candida diet. I need to know if this is something I can ignore. I drink just standard tea, orange pekoe, I brew it pretty strong, 10 small bags for about 3-8 hours per 2 quarts of water. I also brew it cold. It’s pretty much my last vice, other than smoking, and when I quit that, my tea will be my last vice.
I’m sorry the detail is lengthy, I hope it is not too redundant. Thank you to all who try to help me with this in advance.
For those of you that desire to SPAM this thread, don’t. I will not tolerate answers that are totally unrelated to my question, answers that promote some silly site where you are trying to make a buck on a referral, I want a direct, informative answer related to my question. If you can’t be bothered to READ the question, and the guidelines for answers, don’t bother answering it.

Had sex one time with a sex worker 9 months ago and my life has never been the same.

I have been tested multiple times and spent thousands of dollars and no answers.

The last thing not tested for is male HPV, and unfortunately we dont have a way to diagnose with our current medical tools.

I was just wondering if any men have been diagnosed out there with wartless hpv.

Symptoms
Itching in the anus, tip of penis and testicles.
Slight darkening at the tip and on shaft.
Also considering a candida infection (been on lots of antibiotics)

I fear the only way i will ever find out would be after i give it to a future girlfriend or wife, which haunts me every day. I would never want to have anyone go through this.

Before you list off the obvious herpes, hiv, chlamydia (sp) ghonneria (sp) syphilis Hep ABC, been there done that.

I have colitis and have a sneaking suspicion that Candida might have something to do with it.
I had a case of where I was diagnosed with an excessive amount of Candida, not to mention I had the symptoms. So…my question is, that once its taken care of, through meds/ diet/ herbal remedy, how long must you continue the no carb diet? Is it a permanent thing?

I’m going to Trader Joe’s today as it’s day 1 of my Anti-Candida diet. I’m going to pick up some almond milk and millet bread, but are there any sweets I can have that are wheat, gluten and sugar free (stevia instead)?

I know that sweets are not allowed but is there ANYTHING that I can have cookie or cake-wise?

Also, I heard that I can eat grapefruit and green apples. True?

I am a 26 year old male looking to start a 1 week detox diet.

Several months ago I had an STD scare (which I am still living through) and after several months of being tested for everything under the sun and being told I am 100% healthy by every single Dr I have decided to take another approach (symptoms itching in the testicles, scrotum, penis tip and anus)

I was treated as a precaution by a HUGE dose of antibiotics, strong enough to virtually wipe out anything that was not supposed to be in my system. I then took several months of antibiotics as Dr’s tried something else.

My conclusion is that I may have a candida (yeast infection) which is entirely possible after the high dosages of antibiotics.

I want to try a detox diet, something I have not tried before (as now I eat lots of junk food and somewhat depressed)

What is a good detox diet?
I was thinking only 1 thing for a week to keep it simple, but also be friendly to the candida infection

I’ve never been this scared about something but when it concerns my health I’m terrified! It’s scaring me to death! Please is there anything I can do?!…besides calm down?

I am searching on line and in books and finding contradicting information. I have read that garlic (fresh), fresh juiced carrots (not store purchased juic), grape seed extract, olive leaf extract and something called pau d’arco help eliminate and then I have to take probiotics not to mention a "candida diet"- can’t find consistent info on what a good candida diet would even be…. help!

I am a female with a yeast infection (I also think its severe or chronic) that’s lasted over a 4 year period, I am currently seventeen. When younger around 14 I’ve acquired the symptoms. I’ve always drank soda and eaten sweets, and at some point, when younger, I never drank water or ate proper foods, EVER. The most I would go is six months with no water, and if i drank water, it was just a swig of it. I’ve recently stumbled upon the Candida Diet, but every site says something different. If some1 could help me I would be greatly appreciated, I prefer some1 who is currently on this diet, but if you know absolutey well of it yourself, I would also appreciate your help. The option of going to a gynecologist is not an option unfortunately, I’ve gone at least 4 times, got the same diagnosis and meds do not help me whatsoever.

Okay so I am pretty sure I have that wonderful problem called Candida. I am taking GSE and Fiber smart. My god though this diet thing is killing me. It’s be two days and I have no fucking idea what to eat. I am in fulltime school and work every other day so I don’t really have time to stick to this thing. Right now I feel like I am on the verge of starving because I really don’t know what to eat. It seems as if everything is bad! One website said carrots are great and now I read another saying to avoid carrots at all cost. This is quite a frustrating problem and I’d really like to find a solid answer or even a site that holds a solid answer.

Thanks!

hello,

i am almost 19 years old and i am thinking of doing a colon, liver and candida yeast cleanse. does anyone know if there is a minimal/suitable age you should be to do all of these cleanses? is it a good idea to do even if i don’t show the symptoms of someone who needs the cleanse and i adhere to a diet rich in fibre?

I have been strictly on the diet for over a month and today when i looked at my tongue it was even worse! I have been having disgusting food and having to eat eggs most days, just for it to be even more white. It was getting better before though and i don’t feel sick often anymore. But, what’s happened?

Just thought i would say, scraping, brushing and salting my tongue doesn’t get rid of it.

If i go to the doctor and not mention the candida, would he sort out my tongue for me?
Thank you so much, i will try and go to the doctors tomorrow.

Hi all

Just wondering if anybody out there has had the same experience…

I have just started the anti-candida diet (three days ago) and havbe been taking apple cider vinegar as well, as that is supposed to be so good. I had no yeast infection before at all (was just doing the diet for health reasons) but now have the symptoms!!

Is this just my body dispelling all the yeast?! I heard somewhere that it can happen, biut just wondering if anybody has actually experienced it and how long it took for the symptoms to go away?!

As I said, I had NO yeast infection before.

Thank you!!

hi friends, I am 25 years old MALE from Hyderabad, India.

Please tell me something about yeast infection and candida. It will be very much helpful to me.

Whether we can cure the yeast infection permanantly ?

I used heavy dose of antibiotics in feb 2009 as my doctor misdiagnosied my normal fever as malaria and treated me with powerful antibiotics.

From the second day, i had bulged tongue with huge white coating , severe eye problems, breathing problems, severe body pains, joint pains, etc..

I faced all those problems for almost 3 months.

But now the only thing that depresses me is about eyes. Till today i think mine are Eye floaters but today accidentally i read about yeast in eyes. Please see the following image. My vision is almost like this.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f5/C_albicans_en.jpg

I have tons of spots, chains like structures, white and gray dots in my eyes and i cant able to concentrate on anything. If mine is yeast, is it possible to cure it permanently and make my eyes clear ??

And please tell me what is yeast and what is candida infection ?

THOUSANDS OF THANKS FOR YOU ALL IN ADVANCE.
PLEASE REPLY ME AND MAKE ME FREE OUT OF MENTAL TENSIONS. I WILL PRAY FOR YOU.
THANK YOU.

So far I’ve only been able to stay on a very strict candida diet of meat and low carb vegetables for ten days. The cravings were horrible and I felt very anxious and angry the whole time I was on the diet, but all of my candida symptoms including the brain fog were going away. I really want to stay on the diet because I think it is the only way to get rid of candida. I’ve had candida for about 4 years and was advised to stay on the diet for four months. Does this diet ever get easier or will I just have to suffer for four months?

I was thinking of trying the candida diet, as i have had problems with confusion, feeling spaced out, amongst other things, and internet research led me to believe this could be the problem. I was on antibiotics at 15 for acne and at 16 was put on the pill, now been on it for 6 years.

I am vegetarian and eat a diet which includes my 5 a day, but also often pasta and potatoes. I love cereal and dairy products, and I am partial to a little bit of choccy too!!

The candida diet seems almost impossible to me, EVERYTHING I eat, even healthy living vegetable soup, milk, and bloody rise krispies have sugar! I can’t cut everything out of my diet or i’ll be very unhealthy and unhappy!!

Is this whole candida overgrowth thing a total scam? I know doctors don’t really recognise it, and most of the Anti-Candida websites just seem to be sales-driven!!

What’s your opinion?? My dad says so long as I eat a healthy varied diet I have nothing to worry about, but i was still thinking of taking acidophillus (sp?) tablets just to boost my friendly bacteria.
PS: I have been taking vegetarian multivitamins for about a month now and to be honest it’s since then that i’ve started feeling worse…

Does anyone know if the Candida Diet can help stop post nasal drip (PND) or chronic sinus infections? My doc has a theory that my PND may be related to yeast in my body since the only time my PND stopped was when I was on Flagyl for a yeast infection. So she put me on the diet but I’ve yet to find any research saying the diet helps PND specifically.

Can I have soy cheese on the anti-candida diet? I’m currently 6 days into it and I would kill a medium sized bear for a piece of cheese!
