I noticed that she is scratching the ear again and the smell is from a yeast infection. She had one several years ago. She also has cancer and is incontinent. I will be calling the vet today and hopefully they will not ask me to bring her in as she has a hard time getting into the car without assistance. Shes a GH mix.
What med have worked best on your dog’s yeast infections and have any of you had luck with naturals remedies. I ask this because she is on medicine and really don’t want to add more. She’s and old girl of 13 and don’t wish to put her through anymore trauma. I even wondered if over the counter yeast medicine for vaginal yeast infection for women would work. Don’t worry, I won’t use it, but just curious as these meds do kill yeast. Thank you for any info.
To those who say I am irresponsible, better read this again. By the way, her cancer diagnosis and meds were over 00, pill foe incontinence are over a month. Her diapers are per month. She leads a good life. I feed her dog food mixed with boiled chicken so it is easier on her stomach and she likes it. So I would not say that I am cheap. I am trying to give her a quality life until the time comes which I am not looking forward to. She is a loving dog and a member of the family. Just want the least amount of trauma for her.
