Mine seems to be chronic (over a year and half now of discharge). I went to my gyno and he said it was a yeast infection. He prescribed antibiotics and a cream. The cream helped with the skin irritation. The antibiotics didn’t do anything for the discharge. I went back. He gave me another antibiotic, which didn’t help. So I tried monostat. That didn’t work. He prescribed a higher dosage of monostat. Still didn’t work. So I looked up home remedies and tried the yogurt tampon thing. Did not work either! Nothing seems to be helping at all! Can this discharge just be a normal thing that I have or is he right that it’s a yeast infection. And if so, why won’t it go away and what should I do?
Oh, and I have tried douching a few times as well, before the monostat application and also on its own. Nope, no help either.
I am not itchy or smelly at all, the discharge is a pale yellow and not cottage-cheese like. I also was just diagnosed with hpv, could this be a symptom of hpv that comes with it?

so for about a little over a year i have what i think MAY be a yeast infection but im not sure. i dont always get the itch, maybe once a day. and the discharge is usually clear however sometimes it will be white but only very very very little and sometimes i do have a smell, its not exactly the bread smell but its i guess similiar i just always thought that smell was normal. anyway since i never thought much of it i never got it treated since it was on and off i just thought i was normal since i heard for a yeast infection its unbearable itch and constant white clumby discharge. and considering ive been dealing for a year and most women cant even for a week i never thought i had one but anyway my question is my dentist just put me on an antibiotic for an infection in my mouth, im wondering if this will help kill off the bad bacteria in my vagina i read somewhere antibiotics can clear it up and i also heard it would only make it worse? idk im jsut asking just in case i have one even though i doubt i do.

I was wondering because this is an ointment for EXTERNAL use and for "temporary relief of itching, burning, or irritation". So I don’t understand what this ointment really does. I have a re-occuring yeast infection (I just treated mine like a couple weeks ago -_- ) and I just bought this gel from a pharmacy. If this is external, does it only take away the itching or does it really work to TAKE AWAY/FIGHT the yeast infection? Because isn’t a yeast infection internal?? If it only relives the external irritations…then why would you need it versus buying a product that can actually fight it?

About 3 months ago I had a yeast infection. The symptoms seemed to pass so I never treated it. A month later a began showing symptoms of oral thrush, (yeast infection of the mouth.) I got some over the counter oral rinse but saw no signs of improvement. Over the last week or so I became EXTREMELY ill: severe muscle tightness and cramping, visual disturbances, migraines, chronic fatigue, memory loss,…….. I had a list of 43 symptoms. I was sleeping 20 hours a day and barely staying awake the other four. I was terrified but everyone kept telling me it was JUST IN MY HEAD and that I was becoming a hypochondriac. I felt so betrayed, depressed, hurt, and confused. Were they right? Was I just being over dramatic? Was I just stressed and imagining these symptoms?
I finally went to the ER today and the doctor confirmed that I did indeed have a systemic yeast infection. Great, finally someone believed me. He gave me 1 dose of oral Diflucan 150 and a prescription for an antibiotic. (I also have a sinus infection.) I asked him if I could have a refill on the Diflucan because of the interaction with the antibiotic, but he said I would just have to follow up with my family doctor.
I took the oral dose of Diflucan at 11:00 am and I can already feel an improvement. However, I can smell an overwhelming scent of yeast coming from my hands, and other areas of my body. Is this normal?
Also, I am afraid to take the antibiotic because of the yeast infection. Should I just take the antibiotic and deal with the symptoms from the yeast infection? PLEASE HELP! I’m scared and sick and tired of feeling sick.

It used to burn, but stopped after antibiotic.

I took the antibiotics (500mg 3 times a day of Cephalaxin), but all it did was make it go away for a bit, it gave me throat ulcers, and made the roof of my mouth turn yellow…and it gave me a vaginal yeast infection. White went away for a bit after last day of antibiotics (which was Christmas), but it’s coming back.

I’ve been to the dr. 3 times, no one has taken a throat culture.

What does it look like? Or is it normal and has it always been there and I just never noticed. Whatever it is, it is the same sign that I went to the dr. for…

I’m stressed! Help!

Now i read that a yeast infection can occur after taking antibiotics. Which i feel is the case for me (this happened 2 days after i took the antibiotic), but i find it strange that this is the first time i have what i think is a yeast infection because i’ve taken that antibiotic many times before. (amoxcicillin)

Recently my labia minora has been peeling.. A LOT. i can take off some skin basically and the same for my clitoris too. And this has never ever EVER happened to me before. I’ve also been having some white discharge. Im not too sure if its related to what i think is a yeast infection or if im going to have my period soon. It’s incredibly itchy around the vaginal opening and inside the vagina, and the skin itself stings when i try to wash myself with water. There is no odor at all.

Are there any home remedies or over-the-counter treatments that are going to work for sure?

I don’t really have a chance to go to my gyno anytime soon so if anyone could give me their diagnois of what they think this may be, it would be greatly appeciated.

And FYI: im 17 years old. Im incredibly clean down there and i’ve only had sex with 1 person. We both lost our virginity to each other and we’ve been together ever since so i do not think this is any STD of any kind. We also haven’t had sex in nearly a year.
