I had this problem last wk and I went in to my Dr and got a culture done to be certain of what was going on down there and then he told me to get over the counter monistat. I got the internal one which I heard works better and it was gone in 3 days
Yes and my doctor prescribed two pills to be taken orally (one pill taken 3 days apart for a total of two pills in three days and that was all the medicine) and some cream to put on the outside to help it heal faster.
My dr. said to get over the counter Monistat or off brand cream like that, he said he would rather do that then have me take the pill (diflucan), that could just be him though, he seems a little over cautious.
my doc just said to keep puttin vagisil on it. because that was the only thing i had on hand at home it worked and it went away
