Diflucan may take more than 4 days to work. It depends on how severe your case was. The first time i took it, I had a yeast infections so bad it took over a week to completly clear up.

If you get UTI’s they will usually give you some type of antibiotic and they will CAUSE you to get a yeast infection. Talk to your doctor about it. I had one that said that if I were getting them so often (every month) it could be that i was diabetic. I changed how i ate and haven’t been back since. I also lost about 20 lbs which was a bonus.

well if it is the itching that is bugging you try gynelotromin7 and thats a cream u put down there and it helps… try take another diflucan…. If you are on antibiotics a lot that may be a main contributer to your reoccurring infection… Talk to your doctor….

    Good Luck

I used to get some horrendous yeast infections. The doctor would usually give me 2 Diflucan tablets. One to take immediately and one to take 4 days later. I would also sometimes use a OTC yeast infection treatment.

As far as natural remedies, I also found that Boric Acid suppositories worked. You insert them into your vagina, you DO NOT take them orally (by mouth), they will make you very, very sick. They worked well. You have to order them from natural medication suppliers or a health store. White vinegar used as a douche also works. I don’t remember the amount you are supposed to use. I have read everything from 1 tablespoon to a quart of warm water to 1 cup to a quart of water. I guess experiment and see what works. Also eating yogurt with live cultures in it will help restore the PH of your body and that helps fight yeast infections.
