How do I know if I have a yeast infection?

I am 12 and I have not gotten my period. I am getting white discharge and I know this could be a sign you are gonna get your period soon. But I sometimes have slight irritation and it smells so I don’t know. So what are the signs of a yeast infection??

If you are itching down there and the discharge actually smells like a yeast roll, then that’s a possibility that you have it. If I were you I would go to the doctor about it.
