How can I get rid of a Yeast Infection, with stuff I can find around my house ?

I’m 14 and have had a Yeast Infection for almost a year and a half, I have never had sex, so i’m thinking that it was started when I was sitting around in a wet bathing suit for hours on end in the summer.
Can anyone help me get rid of my Yeast Infection FAST!

If it is a yeast, you should have thick white discharge, like cottage cheese, and your vulva should be red and itchy. You could try washing with a mixture of 500 ml warm water, and 25 ml white vinegar. Then get some live culture yoghourt, plain not flavoured, get some on your finger and rub it on your vulva. If you can, put your finger into the vagina with some of the yoghourt too.
The vagina is supposed to have healthy bacteria in it, lactobacillus, the same bacteria turns milk into yoghourt. The vinegar water is too make the area slightly acidic, which the yeast does not like.

BTW a yeast infection will not damage your cervix, bladder or uterus.
if you have had it that long. you are going to need something over the counter or see your dr. you can get yeast infection without having sex. there are many other the counter drugs that will help. ask the pharmacist at your local drug store.
vaseline may relieve the irritation for a bit but not long term. you need a prescription or otc.
Kiddo if you have a yeast infection for that long, you have caused damage to your bladder and ovaries/cervix.
You must have something else, or you would be in serious trouble and pain. To be safe suck it up and talk to your mother.

You really should just ask your mom to pick you up a cream at the drugstore. That is the easiest way to treat it. A yeast infection is nothing to be ashamed of; almost every woman will have at least one in her life.
The only household item that may help is yogurt that has no sugar added, and contains live bacteria. You can use it as a douche. But any other type of yogurt will NOT work. Plus it is a pain to do this–its just easier to buy a cream for it.

Like the first person said you will need a prescription for it from doctor or by buying over the counter medication. You can also get plain yogurt. Not the no fat or low fat kind. I’m talking about the no flavor, plain, white, no sugars or anything else added plain yogurt and rub some on the vulva and around the vagina which should help with the symptoms immediately.
You could also (with great caution) take a small spoon and try to insert the yogurt into your vagina, but again you have to take great caution with this method. Do this at night when you are going to bed for 7 nights in a row. I’m currently trying to get rid of my yeast infection using this method.
Another way is to take a tampon out of the applicator, put yogurt on it and insert it into your vagina. Take it out a couple of hours later. I’ve read that you can do this twice a day for a week which should clear up the infection.
