Has anyone ever used Monistate yeast infection treatment and irritation increase?

The other day I used the treatment and it was so irritating and almost painful I had to rinse it out of me. Has anyone ever had this happen?

I do, and something similar happened to me, then i have to go to the emergency room; my doc said that this medication is not appropiate for all kind of irritation, so if i were u i would ask an expert about it.
No ive never had it or heard of it happening. remember the skin down there is much moresensitive than any other skin on your body. It could be too strong for you. When at the pharmacy ask a lot of questions tell them what happened and perhaps they could give you a less, shall we say, intense one..

Yes – the irritation comes from the fact that it is a cream. Creams contain alcohol. Ask your doctor for the yeast infection pill and an anti-fungal OINTMENT. Ointments will not irritate sensitive skin.
If the skin is really irritated (raw from itching) the cream will burn like fire. (I know, I’ve been there). I had to go see the doctor because the infection was so bad it needed stronger meds. Also, it may be bacteria vaginosis (I have) which the symptoms are similar to yeast infection but they are totally different (requiring different treatment).
