Tea Tree Oil can be applied topically to the infected area. It will fight the infection and reduce itching. However, yeast infections are notoriously difficult to get rid of, and it is likely that these other treatments will be needed:

Garlic capsules 2 caps 3x daily (fights the infection)
Biotin 300 mcg 3x daily (inhibits yeast growth)
Probiotic 2 caps daily (restores normal bacterial balance)
Vitamin C 2000-5000 mg daily (improve immunity)

Avoid sugar, fruit, refined carbohydrates, alcohol, and all dairy products except yogurt.

Why don't you just use one of the over the counter treatments, like Vagisil?

For some folks it can...What I've done is to unwrap a tampon...push about a half inch of it out of the holder...then let about 5-6 drops of tea tree oil soak into the cotton..kind of turning the tampon as the drops hit it. Can be a bit tricky to insert...but it'd do-able...and you may feel a sensation once inserted..hot/cold....but no worries... I leave it in a few hours and then remove and do again after dinner. (so twice a day)

And as someone stated...you can just try the over the counter stuff at pharmacy
