Could morning after pill be causing yeast infection?

I read that oral contraceptives make women more vulnerable to getting yeast infections. I took the morning after pill a week ago (which is a high dose of oral contraceptive) the first time ever. Now I have my first yeast infection (or at least that’s what I think it is). (IT’S NOT AN STD. My BF is clean of that.) So could the morning after pill be causing my yeast infection?

its possible. the hormones can change the body chemistry and cause one to be more susceptible to them. also stress is another cause… one would think having to take the morning after pill there was some added stress in your life. and if your not sure if its yeast see a doc. there are also bacterial infections which are more common than yeast and can be easily confused even in women who have had a yeast infection before. only a doc can give you treatment for bacterial infection. this is not an STD just and infection that can be caused from and over growth of the bad bacteria… although after having a bacterial infection treated with internal cream many women then develop a yeast infection. this happens because the antibiotic cream kills the good bacteria that helps keep the yeast under control. big pain but see a doc.
No. I’ve never seen that as even one of the rare side effects. You need to see your doctor and have it checked. If it is a yeast infection, something else could have caused it…..or it could be something else. Please get checked.
